H.Upmann Majestic

COST: £11.39
STRENGTH:4/5
FLAVOUR:2.5/5

NOTES:
Started off mild and difficult to draw. Hadn't had a cigar of this length with long filler tobacco before so unsure if this is normal. Toasted / lit with butane torch but burned unevenly, even if corrected by holding or with said torch. Light tobacco flavours and mild spice in the first half. Some weird funky flavours around half way, and I guess it seemed like denser flavours towards the end, but unsure if this is because my tongue/mouth was just tired of the cigar. 1 hr 20 mins + smoking time.

Villiger Maduro Export

COST: £2.50 approx
STRENGTH: 3/5
FLAVOUR: 3.5/5

NOTES:
Lovely aroma and appearance. Dark enticing wrapper. Approx. 2.50 a cigar unit price. A little harsh, especially on the retrohale - just seems to tickle at the exact wrong place! but has strong hints of pepper, dark wooden hints and possibly a little bit of chocolate. This chocolate flavour is revealed in volumes when paired with hot black coffee; the smoothness of the two together is sublime, considering these came from a supermarket and the coffee from McDonald’s- a budget night shift smoke that made the 2:30am “lunch” hour go down very well indeed. Managed to drag it out to a 25 minute smoke as I have the time but you’re looking at a 15/20 minute smoke if actively puffing away.

Chinchalero Chico’s

COST: £3
STRENGTH: 2/5
FLAVOUR: 3/5

NOTES:

Surprised that this is hand rolled considering how cheap they are. Cuts easy, mild aroma. Taste teetering between a petrol station cigar and cheeky hints of something deeper which I can’t quite put my finger on. Went well with coffee. Burned for about 20 minutes. Interrupted by neighbor, last ⅓ resumed later, not too dissimilar after relighting.
